Hand-picked For You: Some of Ibiza’s Best Hotels

From its crystal-clear waters and rustic chiringuitos, to the sunset rituals and roaring nightlife, Ibiza is the most bilateral Balearic island of the four. In short: the white isle has something for everyone. There’s no place like it but you’d be forgiven for for not venturing far every day of your trip. Some of the best hotels in Ibiza offer a taste of the island’s free-wheeling spirit and gastronomic delights before you’ve even stepped out.

Our love affair with Ibiza started long ago, and since then shiny new hotels have continued to pop up all over the island. Newer isn’t always better of course just book a stay at Hacienda Na Xamena or Ibiza Gran if you don’t believe us. Our edit of the best Ibiza hotels has been curated to suit every budget, and below we’ve cherry-picked standout stays according to some of our most frequently asked questions. Some hotels are best for partying, some are best for couples looking to wed or relax—all have a delicious twist.

For Instagram: Wi-Ki-Woo Hotel Ibiza, San Antonio

A hop, skip and a jump from Ibiza’s sunset strip, you’ll find Wi-Ki-Woo—one of Ibiza’s most Instagrammable hotels that’s renowned for partying and primed for hen and stag parties.

Miami-art deco style meets Barbie DreamHouse at this boutique destination, coloured in pastel-perfect tones and decked with heart-shaped pool beds. Book a sea or pool-facing room and look out for quirky hotel features including the disco lift and swinger’s swing. Seeking an extra layer of luxury? Check out and check into the boudoir-inspired suite, complete with a mermaid-inspired bathroom.

There’s never a dull moment at Wi-Ki-Woo, whether you’re drinking poolside piña coladas served in a pineapple, or watching the sunset in front of the restaurant terrace. Its calendar of weekly and one-off events, plus the private club room set behind mirrored wardrobe doors, sets the stage for a hedonistic getaway synonymous with Ibiza.

Come for the ‘gram, stay for the experience.

For Solo Travellers: W Hotel Ibiza, Santa Eulalia des Rui

Thanks to its internationally acclaimed status, every W Hotel in the world should be on your radar. The W Ibiza, in its own words, strikes a pose on the palm-fringed, sand-drenched beachfront of Santa Eulalia. In our words, its cosmopolitan mix of guests makes W Hotel Ibiza one of the best hotels for solo travellers.

In place of a traditional lobby, W Lounge’s open space allows for plenty of chance encounters with other eclectics and you can take the networking further up at the rooftop bar Glow. Both social scenes welcome a varied DJ line-up throughout the week, so you can feel the groove of myriad music genres, from r’n’b and jazz to techno and afro-house.

On the promenade, Steps café spills out across turquoise tiles that mirror the sparkling sea just in front. With a vegetarian menu and outdoor sockets, this is the perfect spot to plot up at and catch up on emails or read a book.

For Partying: Ushuaïa Hotel Ibiza, Playa D’en Bossa

We’re often quizzed about which Ibiza hotels are near the clubs—Ushuaïa has both, plus 24/7 room service. Conveniently located down the road from the airport, it’s also frequented by planes that fly low over the hotel airport sits down the road, planes regularly fly low over the hotel and nod to its jet-set appeal.

Planes regularly fly lower over the hotel, a nod to its jet-set appeal, as they head in and out of the airport down the road. Based in Bossa, this island institution is made up of two buildings: The Ushuaïa Tower and the Ushuaïa Club. The Tower is your ticket for an extravagant stay with sweeping views of the Med. With room names like ‘Party All Night Long’ and the ‘Pioneer DJ Suite’, the latter is not for the faint of heart. A stay in one of the club rooms puts you in the middle of the action, giving you direct (as well as complimentary) entry to the brand’s open-air parties—that’s your daytime agenda covered.

Superclubs Amnesia and Pacha are just over 10 mins away by taxi, and underground venue DC10 is no more than 5 without traffic. At Ushuaïa’s doorstep, however, lies a vibrant slice of Ibiza’s nightlife in sister venue Hï. Here the likes of Black Coffee, Fisher and The Martinez Brothers will keep you dancing until 6.30. Perfect timing—Bossa sunrises are hailed as some of the best on the island.

If anyone asks about the after-party location then the answer is: your room. X-boxes and erotic kits are just a few of the amenities available to get the debauchery started.

For Couples: Romeo’s, Sant Josep de se Talia

If you’re a romantic at heart, Ibiza won’t disappoint with its postcard-worthy hotels. For those who like things a little more left field, Romeo’s Ibiza is the go-to hotel for couples.

Inspired by love motels on Route 66, Romeo’s Ibiza has captured the essence of vintage America and reincarnated it into a special hotel. Each room bears the name of a stop along the legendary route, and the diner menu packs a punch. Rumour has it you can get married Vegas style here and guess what? The rumours are true.

Stretch out on the deck and take a dip in the pool. Get close to your lover in the heart-shaped hot tub, and get even closer in your room. Lose yourself in the heady glow of the neon lights and choose spontaneity. The wedding chapel awaits you for official (and unofficial) weddings. No outfit? No problem. Romeo’s on hand with a veil and bouquet for the bride—all you have to do is show up. When your rock’n’roll nuptials are over, take all the friends you met poolside to ‘The Playroom’. It’s time to pole dance, karaoke, party and repeat.

For Swim-Up Rooms: OKU Ibiza

In Japanese, “OKU” can be interpreted as “Inner part, interior depth, intimate and sacred. The space hidden within” so when you visit OKU Ibiza you’ll understand its choice of name.

Taking cues from the island way of life, the interiors combine natural materials including rattan, oak, hessian and stone—with local pieces and furniture sourced from Bali and Mexico. Glide between free yoga classes on the rooftop shala to colourful drinks at the poolside juice bar. Try sound healing rituals in the hotel studio or explore the West Coast with guided hiking. Rest—time is on your side here.

Your room will jut out onto a terrace or balcony, and your rain shower shelf will feature Le Labo products. Let the Marshall speakers amplify your music or podcast and when you’re ready to sleep, the linen-crafted bedsheets will keep you cool and cosy. Elevate your stay with a swim-up room, where steps lead to a secluded pool shared by just five neighbouring rooms. Your private sun bed is primed for the taking.

For Families: ME Ibiza, Santa Eulalia des Rui

Hey, it’s ME: a five-star retreat where the whole family is welcome—even the dog! Make use of the child seat-fitted shuttle service and find ME tucked away in a bay just outside of Santa Eulalia’s centre. S’Argamassa beach is just beside you.

The front of house are friendly to the point of familiarity, which sets the pace from the start. Make baby monitor requests and spa treatment reservations with staff who couldn’t possibly be more helpful. Their attitude goes hand-in-hand with the hotel’s elegant and pared-back design. Mostly white or neutral-toned, Me by Melia doesn’t hide behind novelty features. It’s too busy focusing on the important things: customer service, nature and renewable energy sources. Colourful exceptions include the contemporary art on display and the playful kid’s club.

On the ground floor, kids can hang out in the pool or cosy up in a hanging tree chair. When you’re ready for your R&R, on-site childcare can take over. Make a beeline for the rooftop infinity pool, and adult conversation at the bar, or head for a Thai massage at the spa where you’ll be in good hands.

Life at this tempo is no hardship – re-entering reality is the challenge.
